Amazing food here. My boyfriend is Malaysian from the Kuching area and he has always been on the hunt for some good Laksa. We've ended up having to always make it at home, but it's a long and tedious process (and he makes a mess in the kitchen!). His brother recommended this place after creating a rapport with the owners and raving about how it's similar to the food back in Malaysia.
We ordered the Seafood Laksa, Kaya toast, & roti. Everything was delicious and flavorful. The staff here are very welcoming and kind and the food came out at an alarming quick rate.
We visited Malaysia in Oct 2018 and my boyfriend has given this place the stamp of approval to come here whenever he's craving Laksa (which is all the time pretty much) & Malaysian food in general.... So now we don't have to make it at home!
Tldr: great food, friendly staff, & authentic Malaysian food. Highly recommend. -

This is a precious little find which you might drive past and miss the go to place for your craving for good Malaysian food.
Food
We tried the national plate and was a big fan of the chicken which was juicy and you can really taste the spices and the aroma. The roti was yummy.
We also had the Borneo laksa which was rich & spicy with sizzling aroma. I enjoyed the laksa more than th national plate. We will definitely be back for the Hainan chicken rice which was sold out.
The decor was pleasant and service was friendly and efficient. -

Came here for the Chicken Rice. Too bad! They don't have chicken rice.
I had their ribs instead, which was not what I expected at all. It was slathered in a really really salty sauce. The rice that accompanied it was not flavorful at all.
My dreams of a great Singapore-Malaysia alternative to Malay Satay Hut have been dashed as this place could not live up to its hype. Maybe I'll give it a second chance when they have Chicken Rice in stock, but thus far I'm not quite optimistic. -

Had great experience here - truly a gem of the neighborhood. I ordered the Borneo Laksa (pretty much the same as regular Laksa but topped with tiger prawns) and very happy with the broth although the prawns were actually pretty basic. I would recommend just get a regular one since the star of the dish is truly the broth. My boyfriend tried the Nasi Lemak with just the chicken and was happy with his dish. We think, however, the rice dish in Indo Cafe is better and priced lower as well.
I was way too full to try the durian crepe cake but would love to try it next time I am in the area! They have great coffee selection too. -

Came here for Sunday brunch and ordered the nasi lemak with fried chicken and kaya butter waffle. I like the flavor combination on the nasi lemak plate but find the chicken too dry - a little more sauce may help. I personally wouldn't come back for that fried chicken. The waffle itself doesn't have much flavor but the kaya butter is delicious - just wish they would be more generous with the butter (like kaya toast I have had in Singapore). The staff is very nice and friendly; the food is on the pricier end considering this place is self-service. Overall, I think this is a good place for simple causal Malay cuisine.
